About INSITE STUDIO
INSITE STUDIO is a design focused architectural and interiors studio in Sydney, established by Shan Gao in 2016. Our work specialises in new builds, renovations, extensions and refurbishments.
The studio is deeply passionate about creating functional and joyful residential architecture. We believe that well designed homes have the ability to enhance and celebrate the life of the inhabitants.
At INSITE STUDIO we strive to design every homes to:

About Shan
Shan graduated from the University of Sydney in 2009, receiving Honours in the Master of Architecture and has completed part of her degree at the Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands. Prior to establishing INSITE STUDIO Shan worked for award-winning practices, including Popov Bass Architects in Sydney and as a Project Architect for renowned British architect Guz Wilkinson in Singapore. She has completed numerous residential projects of various scales from waterfront houses in Sydney to boutique beach retreats in the Maldives.
As a NSW Registered Architect (NSW ARB 9078) Shan brings to each project over 10 years of accumulated experiences in residential architecture in Australia and Asia. She is well experienced in the planning and construction processes in Sydney.
Shan lives in Willoughby with her young family and understand the functional needs of families large and small. Apart from all things design, Shan loves Mid-Century furniture, gardening and making a good coffee.
