A brief process of a project from start to finish is commonly carried out under the following stages:

Planning and construction approval (DA and CC or CDC)
Construction documentation, Tender and Tender negotiation
Design support and Contract Administration during Construction
Post construction, defect liability and interior furnishing
THE ENGAGEMENT PROCESS
At INSITE STUDIO we understand that every home-owner’s needs for an architect’s help might be different. We offer our service with different levels of engagement.
Full Service I The architect is engaged for the entire process of the build, including Concept Design, Planning Approval, Construction Documentation, Tender and Construction.
Partial Service I The architect is engaged for one or more of the building stages depending on the project needs
Design Consulting I Many home owner would like an architect’s help from time to time, we offer design consulting on demand on a hourly or lump sum basis. These consulting sessions aim to help and inform home owners with any part of the building process, ranging from review floor plans to selecting materials and colours.

Well designed buildings and spaces can have a positive influence on the quality of daily life. Through the design process, such as functional space planning and adapting good passive design principles, the largest impact can be made on operating costs. Design proportionally represents the smallest investment in the total lifetime cost of a building, yet it can provide the greatest cost saving benefit overtime.
