COURTYARD HOUSE

(ONGOING, IN DESIGN DEVELOPMENT)

The existing house is a modest 1970s brick cottage on a large corner site. It is exposed and its siting does not relate to either street frontage. Our brief is to re-configure the existing house, add a Living Room extension and provide some privacy for the house from the street. We will aim to achieve this by adding an extension block that better align with the frontage of the house’s primary street and combine building and landscape elements to create two courtyard spaces that have clear functions (Entry Courtyard and Private Living Courtyard) with appropriate level of privacy.
